What is the 6:21 Experience?
The 6:21 Experience is a truly inspiring initiative! Founded in 2017 by a group of women in Louisville, Kentucky. Their mission is rooted in their love for Jesus and a desire to demonstrate generosity within His Kingdom. The 6:21 Experience motto, "Live to Give, it is a God thing," beautifully encapsulates the purpose of the group.
Each year, the 6:21 Experience circle of giving expands as they welcome more women into their sisterhood. United in Christ, the group builds relationships and works together to address the needs they see in their community through generous giving. This collective effort not only provides financial support but also fosters a strong sense of community, shared purpose and a commitment to generosity in making a tangible difference in Louisville.
How is generosity accomplished?
Generosity can be accomplished in many ways, and the 6:21 Experience provides a great example of how structured generosity can make a significant impact. Here's a breakdown of how they achieve this:
- Annual Monetary Grants: They award grants to local 501(c)(3) Christian ministries in the greater Louisville area. This financial support helps these ministries continue their work and expand their reach.
- Ministry Selection Process: The selection process involves members of the 6:21 Experience. They increase their knowledge of the nominated ministries through presentations and site visits. This thorough evaluation ensures that the grants are awarded to ministries that align with their mission and values.
- Member Donations: The grants are funded by annual donations from the members. This collective effort demonstrates the power of community and shared purpose in achieving generosity.
